In celebration of reaching 1.5 million members on Payday 2’s official Steam community group, Overkill, the developer behind Payday, is giving away Payday: The Heist for free on Steam for 24 hours only, starting Thursday, October 16th. at 10AM Pacific time / 6pm UK time. And if you download it during that time, the game is yours to keep forever, even when the game goes back to its original price on Steam.

To avoid any confusion, Overkill originally planed to giveaway the game on Oct. 18, but they have pushed the game’s free download window ahead two days as they reached their end goal faster than anticipated.
